In frustration he slams the thing to the floor, shrugs on the jacket and grabs the dartgun.

"Right," he snaps, "let's go!"

Sparks follows in the formation, still scanning for more transmissions and a thought hits him, and he sends a quick message to Atashi, "Hey, am I the only one that thinks having one of the rearguard being a teen-aged male behind a pair of pretty girls might be a bad idea?"

"whoa whoa whoa. Meera calm down calm down. we need to try to stay relaxed here and not panic. we all in this together and we're all gonna help eachother out of this. it's ok."

As they keep going, Ricky tries to stay calm. It' clear he's not confortable in all of this. He seems to keep concentrating on detecting as they move. His nerves are almost shot.

Once Meera freaks out, Ricky actually calms down a bit. "Meera, you need to stop You're going to bring them to us." He tries to calm her.
It might take time, but hopefully he can calm her down. As they finally appraoch the panel.

"Comeon Sparks, lets get out of here. Open that thing." He is veyr impatient atm.

Sparks gets to work on the panel[5d6.hits(5) → [2,5,4,2,6] = (2) two hits] and tries to keep his mouth shut, but failing as he mutters in Yiddish.

'What the-' Jhon thinks to himself, dismayed at the distance the group seems to be traveling.

At Meera's sudden outburst, he raises the strange weapon, thinking they were under attack, then lets that arm drop to his side, his breath coming in harsh pants.

"I could have shot you!" he shouts at the girl, but immediately regrets his harsh tone. They're all on edge, their nerves as volatile as dynamite just waiting for a spark to light the fuse.

Jhon takes a few deep breaths, gathering his composure. "C'mon, let's keep moving."

Later, at the door at the end of the long, long hall, as Sparks goes to work on the panel, Jhon readies the dartgun and nods to Tokko as the two men cover the door.

To the rest of the group, in a loud whisper he hopes can't be heard on the other side: "Stand back, there's no telling what might be in there."

As time goes on, the adrenalin rush comes and goes, leaving apathy in Tokko. He holds the two guns, he walks, he only sighs on Meera's another outburst. Walls, panels, cells again. He knows corporations a little and he knows they don't build an endless corridor just for fun, so either they're screwing with their minds or conducting tests right now. After all, they woke up, and the doors opened when they got rid of those tubes. So Tokko decides it's the second option, they changed their little cells for a bigger one and those poor puppets they've sent in a very convenient time were just for show, so they'll believe they can escape.
So the dead guards are dead again, they probably watching us right now and there's probably a traitor among us. Great.
But he remains silent, he doesn't want to crush the others, he may be wrong or he could alert the traitor. So he watches and waits, looking for betrayal in their eyes.
The eyes will always betray the traitors.

Sparks keeps working[5d6.hits(5) → [6,1,5,4,5] = (3) three hits.] glad that Meera's calmed down, and hoping like hell there's a shower at the end of this.

Sparks pauses after getting the panel open, "Well, no drek. We got a couple options here. You can either find the service access and climb up or down, or we can see how lucky we get rewiring this panel. Any takers?"

Ricky still holds Meera's hand. He turns and looks to sparks. "Just get us out of here. Look for a first floor, or a top floor, maybe?" His eyes shift as he is still quite on edge and obviously not very calm under pressure.

Atashi looks around the room after getting in and walk over to take a look at the panel. Well for one, i would prefer us staying together and not going out into the open unless necessary. I could help sparks with these panels to speed us up some, I mean i was one of MTC's security hackers

"How about you see if you can remove the central cutout that buldings always have for these, so that any yahoo who notices us in the elevator can't take it over, Hotness?" As Sparks and Atashi set to analyzing the single control panel in this room, frustration looms in Jhon's mind. All of his training as a corporate investigator has availed him nothing so far. He is more familiar with petty filchings and small-time civil disputes than their current situation.
'What I need is some evidence, some type of clue as to who - or what - is behind all this,' he ponders silently. He is angry with himself for throwing away the first bit of evidence he had found; the sensor patch that had been attached to his arm. Perhaps he might have been able to discern something useful from it, but there was no sense mulling over that now. It was gone and irretrievable.

He was also concerned about running into more guards. They had managed to overcome their encounter earlier, but that had been six against three; one had been a scientist in a labcoat, and it had not been exactly an overwhelming win for their group. If they ran into greater numbers...he forced his mind away from further pursuit of that thought.
He couldn't allow himself the useless onset of futility. The only way they were going to get out of this was to fight - guards, electronic systems, whatever stood in their way. Most of all, they had to fight fear, despair and apathy. They had to keep going, keep trying, no matter what.

Gazing around at the others, he notices how they've all seemed to pair up, almost naturally. Sparks and Atashi have begun to work together, if not quite harmoniously; he and Tokko have for the most part taken on the job of group defense; even Ricky and Meera have teamed up, Jhon thinks its mutual comfort they share whether they realize it or not. All except the somewhat disturbing Shu, who is either unable to accept the danger of his situation and is overcompensating with an overzealous facade, or he truly believes he is in some kind of corporate-designed testing program, though testing what, Jhon has no clue. Andrew still seems to be going solo, but he seems less...misplaced than Shu. As if any of them could be said to actually belong in this scene from some alien invasion trideo.

Shaking his head as if to clear away his troubled thoughts, Jhon returns his attention to the two working on the newest electronic puzzle...and tries to ready himself for whatever comes next.

Ricky's eyes open wide. He speaks in a loudly whispered voice, "oh drek, there're a bunch of lifeforms out there." While saying that he steps back and holds Meera, moving her behind him. He looks at the men with the guns. "Be ready, not sure if they're hostile or not."

He looks to Sparks,"Be ready to close those doors again quick if necessary." With that he turns a terrified eye to the door of the elevator.

At the mage's warning, Jhon immediately moves forward, raising his weapon before him.
He is not overly brave, nor suicidal, but he is one of only two with a weapon and, though he doesn't know how much if any protection the guard's jacket affords him, he is nonetheless more layered than the others.

Keeping his finger slightly off the firing mechanism, Jhon tenses as the 'elevator' door slowly opens.

Get away from the door! - Tokko immediately follows his own advice and slides to cover on the left side of the door, not lifting his aim yet. He's not sure what "life form" means in this situation, but maybe it's best if they don't show hostility towards them in the first second, or if they are enemies, it may be best if they think the "Circus of Freaks" (as he refers to their group in his mind) are not or very under-armed. So he hides his guns, until he's ready to shoot them.

Unsure but trusting to Tokko's greater experience in combat situations, Jhon quickly throws himself against the wall beside the opening door, holding his weapon by his side.

Sure hope you know what you're doing, he thinks at Tokko. We might just be giving whoever's out there a free shot at the others in here.

"Frag me gently with a chainsaw...." Sparks says when getting a good look at the massive machine, "Somehow, that just doesn't cover it. Hey, Sexy, think you can hack that thing?"
