On The Run

Mario sat down as Trix started to explain the details of the operation. He looked carefully at the plan that was laid out before him. After the first brief discussion he looked over at Trix, "Few questions. Do you know if the goods will be kept in anything that will be keeping it safe like densiplastic? Also, is the area that the confrontation is taking place estimated to crowded or secluded at the time of "pickup?" He turned his head to the side slightly. "If Night Errant is running some items, there is a chance they will be doing it out of sight of others." Mario opened another piece of gum at this time and popped it into his mouth. "Is the transportation that Night Errant using going to be armored or are they trying to get it around un-noticed?" He leaned back into the chair with interest into what was going on. "I also think that you want this done with as little "sound" as possible, am I right?"

Breaker grins at Hasty as she comes flitting in to the room. There was little in the world more amusing than a Pixie, and they lived for the merest of enjoyment that they caused and participated in. The funny thing is: Breaker couldn't think of a single time that Hasty, or any pixie for that matter, had ever flown in a straight line. It occurred to her that it may be that they couldn't fly in a straight line... Even though she had always simply assumed that they flew in random flight patterns for the fun of it. She was just about to say something when Marie spoke up. It's probably better that he did, since her comment was going to be so completely off topic that she would have earned some confused staring.
"Huh... Good questions." She commented when Mario finished. She was already starting to consider the "tactical approach" that she would be taking to first stop the truck, and second stop the occupants from reacting. At least, immediately.

Trix smiled at Breaker "My dear im glad you asked that." He paused "There will be a dummy car placed on the route, and you being the damsal in distress will act like her car broke down and is in need of assistance thus getting the truck to stop." He looked at Mario "The less attantion we attract would be better, Im assumeing you have a secondary weapon handy?"

Duster stands at the wall pulling his leather gloves on tighter an item he took everywhere since he never wants to leave traces of himself any where he doesn't have to. "We should run through the plan from start to finish before we head out stating what everyone is to do, and realize it will change on the fly."

Hasty on cue of silence Zips near the middle of the room, where the map everyone is pointing to is. And says all one breath. "I want to ask a question, everyone is asking questions, i got two good ones, what i am doing staying near you ok, but whats my role you know what do i do?" Before anyone can answer but after a brief breath. She also pipes in "And what on earth are we stealing like what is it?"

Shadow's right hand flew down to the butt of one of his pistols, while the other cocked back... "Kuso! Little bakamono, what the frag does she think she's..." Shadow forced himself to take a breath. During the space of time it took him to inhale and exhale slowly, the little pixie had managed to rattle off a string of questions and started off towards Trix's place at speed. The adept shook his head slowly, trying to settle his nerves despite the surge of adrenaline that Hasty's surprise appearance had caused. After his heart stopped pounding quite so hard, he sighed and started off to the meet. Further surveillance was pointless now: undoubtedly the whole building would know he was out here when the little pixie started talking. As he opened the gate, a thought occured to him and he wondered, "Doko de nihongo-wo naraimashita ka?"

Entering the room where the runners had assembled, Shadow slowly and quietly closed the door. Stepping off to the side a bit, he took up a position standing at the back of the room, listening to the briefing the hacker was giving. He felt embarrassed at his tardiness... while he had meant to be the last to enter, he hadn't planned on holding things up. Still, given a choice between being late and getting caught in a trap through a lack of intelligence...

The balm of reason wasn't quite enough to quash the qualms a corporate upbringing raised at his behavior... but it would have to do.

Trix looks at the pixie "The contents of the shipment werent discussed ,So i really have no idea why this shipments so important that a band of runners of our caliber are given a task like this if it wanst of importance nor would such a high price be offered,and Corps tend not to spend big amounts of cred on nothing if it wasnt important."

Hasty nodded and sat down kinda understanding what trix meant, but she really did not understand how much currency was on the line. She took it that it was a lot because he said "such a high price be offered" That led her to believe they were getting off well reward wise. If she was baffled though she did not let it show. Just sat down one of her questions answered...

Mario looked at Trix and smiled, "Sir, although I may not have a body worth pulling cars over," as he glanced over at Breaker. "We all know that subtlety, isn't really my strong point." He continued chewing his gum. After a brief pause, "If I have enough time, I can get some things together that won't cause a sound, however it will help with the extraction of the target." Mario looked down at the ground and then back up into Trix's eyes. "My sound suppressing items were ... melted ... during my last endeavor." At this time a large smile appeared on Mario's face. "However, we had a blast!" The smile disappeared from Mario's face almost as quickly as it had appeared. "Sir, once again. I'll need these questions answered to the best of your abilities so I know what I should and shouldn't bring, as well as what we should expect." Mario took a breathe, "Is the item we are acquiring in a box, bag, on the badges doing the delivering? If we don't know what we are looking for how will we know what to at least pick up? When is the E.T.A. of the target? Is this going to happen on an isolated road, or in the middle of a somewhat busy street? As much info on the A.O. as possible. Is the item protected by some type of barrier to prevent others from getting to it if it is in a box or bag? Is the transport car an A.V.? Any badges that show up, you want them bagged and tagged?"

Mario was somewhat nervous as he took a breathe after asking his barrage of questions. He didn't like going into missions where not a lot of information was given. That was how his former military team was killed. He looked at Trix with a stern military glare. He didn't mean to show any hostility within his eyes and he hoped that nobody would think that. Mario knows that he isn't very well received when talking with other individuals as he hasn't had a lot of practice doing it. The same time that his eyes became stern, he sat up straight in his chair and his military background started to immediately show.

As the time gets to 10 minutes to the meet, [Traveling Mode] his cats jump into pockets and Max drapes across his shoulders.

Moving quietly and efficiently towards the entry to Matrix's doss. Just outside he smartgun link safeties his Ares HVAR, lowers into its sling under his left shoulder. On entering he closes the door and moves in a clockwise movement around the table, looking at each gathered here closely.

Kat reaches up and scratches under Max's chin. Interesting gathering, some I know others I do not.
[Tactical Four]
In a low voice speaks softly to Max. Yes I know you are uncertain as myself, but we will get thru this one also.

He listens to the words being spoken by the Johnson Types, each hand constantly petting, scratching his cats' head and ears.

Each cat seems to give each here, a close visual inspection. Each cat is wearing to some would be a form of ferret harness, on the harness is a small cylinder that sits between the shoulder blades of the front legs. On the heads of each cat is what appears to be small trode net. Across the forehead of each cats a chain of shiny bright spots, secured to the trode net.

He looked at Mario "I dont blame you for your questions Mario and ill answer them the best that i can I have from a reliable source that the location is a isolated streatch of highway east of the metroplex its original destination is somewhere in Redmond with the truck there will be some security escorts alongside the truck. and i was told that the fuzz wont be anywhere in the area so we shouldnt have much problems in that department."He looks at the team "Are there any more questions before we get started or is everyone clear on there roles?"
Meanwhile
Viper smirks at his fellow chummers "This is going to be like taking candy from a baby KE wont know what hit em, Oh wait they will know but whos gonna stop us." He laughs and looks over at the leader of the elven gang. seeing is how lone star and KE dont like dealing with the Ancients There a bad bunch of folks.

"Sorry" Hasty shruggs and asks again "Where am i and what am i doing, or am i like support fire, secret weapon or what? Just making sure you know" She offers a half smile but looks kind of wary as she also wants to upset no one...

Duster walks over to Mario and starts to talk over a plan. "I was wonder Mario your good with blowing things up. I was wondering could a smoke bomb be set up in advance at a corner or two to lose tails, nothing lethal just to cover our exit. Duster starts to think over what the group is going to do and his role in it. Well being the mage I deal with enemy mages spirits and that stuff. I'll bring my chameleon suit for this keep hidden. I have a few spells to deal with threats as they come so mage fire support and awaken stuff dealing with that is me. Then a idea comes into Dusters head. Mario another thing if these guys try to high tail it out of there you might want to have a few surprises for their vehicles so they can't drive Too Far until their car stops if you get what I mean. Duster chuckles a bit to himself knowing full well Mario could set up a bomb that would blow these guys to hell if he wanted to but knows well enough not to damage the package the team is after.

Duster hears the happy little Pixie as she asks her questions. "Well Hasty if I where you I'd try staying out of sight with that blending thing you do keep a good eye on the bad guys if they don't get out of their vehicles try using a spell to get them to get out if you know what I mean. Also keep that tooth pick chucker you have ready encase you need to drop a bad guy or two. Ok there little fella Duster trys to think over anything else they need to do on this run but runs dry for the time being so goes back to adjusting his gloves he has on.

"Thanks Dusty!" She perks up hearing her name. Then adds "While my Psionic ability's are limited at the moment. I should be able to stay out of site. Don't know what i would use to get them out their rides, but i do think i can back up breaker on her part of this. Even if they cant see me i can probably push the driver into pulling over to help if i can get a good view of him should be cake after that right what'cha think huh?" She smiled truly happy that her input was being received and considered, and anyone there that knew her knew what she meant by push. Hasty had a knack for (when at her best) getting into peoples heads, and making them do what she wanted weather they saw her or not.

Trix looks at everyone "Well if there are no more questions, Lets get this run on the road"He smiles *This is going to be a good run I hope everything runs smoothly* He watches as the runners begin to disperse and go about there business in preperations for the run

Kat pauses to see what if any answers he gets.

Shadow's face was neutral. A snatch job, and he had been brought on to provide back-up muscle if things started to go South. Well, he could do that. It did worry him that Trix didn't seem to have a lot of background info on the mission; who they were working for, what the shipment they were intercepting actually contained... and the pay was high for the mission type. But perhaps Trix already knew all this, and simply hadn't given them the full download for reasons of his own.

Reaching a hand up to rub at his chin, Shadow mulled it over. Trix's plan was good, even if the info wasn't as flush as he'd like. The crew he'd gathered had enough skill and mettle at their disposal to see of a dozen jobs like this one. If the team was being set-up some how, the person doing it would have to bring a drek-ton of juice to make it stick. Still... the pay was tempting. Especially since the adept had been surviving on a diet of rice, water, and the occasional soy-bar for nearly two weeks now. If he didn't get the cash for some decent food soon, malnourishment would start to effect his abilities.

Shadow returned his attention to the group, raising his eyes to stare levelly at the hacker in their center. His voice was rough from disuse. "So ka."

Mario looks over at Dusty and says, "I can setup the smoke bomb, however, if we don't incapacitate their vehicle, then they will drive right through it." Mario ponders for a moment. "Unless ..." as Mario looks around. "Can anybody around here cause an Ice or Grease Slick on the road? If so, if we setup the smoke bomb and then trigger the slick we could potentially remove any following vehicles." Mario looked around to see if anybody would step forward to state that they would help out with this plan.

Hasty looked embarrassed when Mario looks around to see who likes his plan. Mario was sometimes Frightening to her. She would always think to herself when he spoke. Who lives off of blowing other things up? If nothing else she was a little Jealous he had a knowledge she did not understand, and she was wary of things she did not understand like chemistry, and Recreational Geometry. Moreover what he was asking she was not sure she could provide. For one her Telekinetics had not progressed to the point where she could speed up the molecules in a subject or area effectively setting it on fire. A process the institute called Molecular agitation or pyro-kenesis. Nor had she learned to slow molecules down enough to freeze them or cryokenesis as she was told it was called. She liked his idea, and wanted to help, but she was just not sure she could help with that particular maneuver. So she sat and closed her always open mouth...

"Well... It's not hard to convince a car to pull over. Some of the oldest tricks in the book still work like a charm. Standing by the side of the road, tire iron in hand, and a smoking wreck behind me will usually get someone to lend me a cell phone, even in an armored car! That part's the easy part. Hard part is making sure they behave themselves once I have finished calling the tow..." Breaker flashed a heart-stopping grin. There wasn't a whole lot that could be imagined after that statement...
"But that's not usually too much of a problem anyway. If I can get them to listen to me, I can work my charms even tighter!" Her grin widened significantly, showing her amusement and appreciation for the "fun" parts of a run. Of course, her definition of fun was usually somewhat different than everybody else's. Especially since her definition of fun on a Shadowrun usually didn't involve taking her clothes off. This was a somewhat unique perspective regarding their opponents, shall we say?

Trix looked at Kat
Its an isolated streatch of highway outside of the seattle metroplex? The primary target is a Ares freighter truck.The Escorts are standerd Kinght Errant vehicles,There are Three cars with two occupants per car so a total of six security officers plus the driver of the truck armed with the standard company issued weapons and body armour. Every ten minutes is the check in intervals. He looked at the runners and waited for there intake on the mission

"Hmm... 3 cars. That does stretch my abilities somewhat. I am going to have to consider this a little more tactfully before I will be comfortable with smoothing out the rough edges of the plan that we have laid out so far. If they were all close together, it would be easier. But spread out, that makes it a lot more difficult.
"About the ice or grease, those are quite simple from a technical perspective. It would be only moderately expensive to get a claymore mine rigged with dry-ice and water to be spewed across the roadway. Trigger button, and Bob's your uncle. Same would work for grease, although the water version leaves behind less of a trace. Thoughts?" She said with a smile. In short order though, her mind had moved off the "ice situation" and back on to how she would be able to distract only one, or all 4 vehicles. This is not going to be simple...

"We could try to rig something of that caliber up, however I doubt we would be able to fill the road with enough water to cause a car to start to slip. Most cars now-a-days have four wheel dive. Also, to get something of that caliber we would have to setup several different explosives and then rig them to go off at the same time. I currently don't have the items to do that." Mario thought for a moment more.

"On that note Breaker. If nobody has a spell that can cause the car to skid out of control, I could probably improvise a device to cut through the first car." Mario lowered his head and closed his eyes as he started to think. He opened his eyes and looked at everybody. "I could rig up a device that when activated, the next car to pass over causes it to detonate." He constantly looked around in hopes that somebody would be able to cause a slick. "In case people don't know about explosives, I'll explain what I could create. It's called a Linear Cutting Charge. Basically its used to cut straight lines upon detonation." He takes some lint out of his pocket and puts it on the table. "This lint will represent the car," he explained. "I could set up the charge on the ground using a electronic detonator and a sensor. The sensor will project a stream of sound waves vertically. As long as nothing goes over the sensor, nothing will happen." Mario took a small breath at this point. During this time he is using the ball of lint to simulate to the best of his abilities the series of events that he is explaining. "Now, should something go over the sensor, the sound waves will bounce off the bottom of the car and come back to the sensor. This, in turn, will trigger the Linear Cutting Charge, which will face towards the sky. As a side note, I could also severely limit the blast radius so that it wouldn't sound like a huge explosion, hopefully." Mario looked around to try to read people faces. "After the charge has been triggered and the cutting charge heads towards the sky, it will cut the car over the sensor in half."

Mario put the lint back into his pocket and with his right hand, he rubbed the back of his neck. "Downsides of this tactic. There will be a car, cut in half, in the middle of the road. Anybody that happens to be around will know that something happened." Mario took another breath. "I can't control how loud the sound will be. It could sound like anything from a tire being blown out, to the sound of a frag grenade going off." Mario took a short pause. "I will not know until it is used. And creating something like this will take time. I estimate about eight hours."

"Positive sides," Mario stated. "All cars travel with the goods in the back seat or the trunk space. As such, if this goes off, then only the front of the car could be cut in half. Meaning, all material in the back two-thirds of the car will be unaffected. Including those driving the car." Mario looked over towards Dusty. "Should we use this as the get away means, then after the smoke grenade goes off, when their car goes into the smoke cloud, they will have a severe problem seeing in front of them. The Cutting Charge goes off and cuts the first car in half. Should there be other cars following, then by the time they realize that the car in front of them has been cut in half, it will probably be too late. They will either crash into the lead car or they will swerve to try to avoid a collision." Mario looks around at everybody thinking to himself that he just went over everybody's head.

He looked at Breaker This runs going to be a tricky one I just wish the J had given me a little more information then he did He sat down again and started looking over the information that the johnson provided on the shipment. He taped his comlink to standby Hey Mario I need you to look up this vin number for any shipments and there cargo logs, its really important. he provides him with the vin just to see what pops up

Mario looks at Trix and says, "I would like to, however, my agent stealth program decided to ... look for work elsewhere." Mario looked at the ground. "I can do general data searches, however if I was to preform a data search on a target without a stealth program, I would be caught really quickly if anybody is monitoring that specific data." Mario raised his head. "I would much rather be safe than sorry."
