Is the place we are meeting up a house/apt/bar? I would like to know as it will determine what I will be doing. If its public, then I won't be on the defensive as much. If its secluded, then I will be on the extreme defensive.

I just want to be sure. It could be in a secluded area where he is monitoring it via wireless cameras. Controlling the area without being there is a popular thing to do. Just cause he is in his den, doesn't mean that its at his house.

Had to make the run a little fun right Gala

Creating an IED similar to a Linear Cutting Charge so everybody can see where I got the idea and how I came across my numbers.

Bangalore Torpedos create straight line cuts. This gives me my threshold of 12 (Demo+Logic Extended Test, 15 mins).

Shaping the Blast to -4/m to reduce the sound of the explosion. This gives a -1 Threshold with a +10min Interval (11 Extended, 25mins)

Keeping the -5 AP would increase the Threshold by +10, and increase the time by 50mins. (21 Extended, 75mins)

My Demolitions is a 6 with a +2 for the Improvised Spec which equals 8
My Logic is a 7 with a +1 for genetics which equals 8

This gives me 16 dice to roll. On average I would get 4 successes for each 75min test. Creating this item would take me 6, 75min extended tests, or 7.5 hours. As my logic is a 7 (or my dice roll is a 16), the maximum amount of tests I can do is 7 (or 16 based on GM preference). As such, I could create one of these items.

Since my character does know these details.

Current Day spike strips are typically put off the road, then using a cord/cable quickly pulled in the target vehicles line of travel. LEO's(Law Enforcement Officer) some times time it right sometimes not.

You may also consider using det cord to fell trees onto the road blocking forward and backward movements.

IRL Bangalore Torpedoes removed barbed wire fence lines, and obstacles that the tube can be shoved/pushed under. I would not describe them as a linear charge.

If we can get the model if vehicles you can premade breaching charges to gain entry into the vehicles.

I would prefer to get the task done as quickly as possible screw the noise factor...again trees rigged with Det cord can be remotely triggered to block any vehicles that may arrive afterward.

Also Kat using his TacNet and cats can give bonuses to appropriate tasks.

Why not use det cord with a pressure trigger as the spike strip?

Using a pressure sensor would be difficult because we would have to know exactly where the tires will be going over. If the tires don't go over the pressure plate, then the car will just go over the plate and not trigger anything.

From what I read about Road Spikes, its still similar to current day spikes in that the spikes don't expand and retract. As such, they are pretty obvious.

I just used the Torpedo as a start for creating the IED charge. I understand that its pretty different, however, since it goes straight, I used that as the basis due to some directional similarity.

I am sorry if I am kinda nitpicky, however, in my RL games, my GM is a ... well ... yeah. So I am kinda geared towards making sure there are no way that a plan could go wrong. I tried to stop a car with a pressure plate once, and he said that the tires didn't go over the plate so the charge didn't go off.
