Now I'm torn over how to respond.
Part of it is my personal morals and an instinctive reaction to a clearly implied continued threat. Which leads me to wanting to remove that threat as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Now for my character,Antonio, this is the kind of predatory crap within the mafia that in part helped drive him to running the shadows as an independent. But he is more subtle much less morally restricted so he wouldn't have the qualms I personally would about it. However, how do you trust a person who's business is protecting secrets that then uses those secrets for a totally different and cross-purpose business; to extort people with those secrets. K, that last answered the dilemma. I know how to respond.

Oh, by the by. Antonio is not handing over the derringer unless they specifically call it out. Let me know here and I'll write my post appropriately. Also, how much cred did we get from Monty. I'm feeling too lazy to check.

Yah, I'm sure. Although with the concealable holster it's got a -5 conceal-ability I figure I have a 20% chance at best of it getting past the sensors. I'll take the risk.

K. Just re-read my last post. Let me correct that odd's statement; I meant 1 in 20, not 20%. There's also other reasons not to hand over the derringer but I'd rather the post explain some and imply more of the reasons.

Heh, totally didn't think about metal detectors. Was more thinking in terms of chemical sniffers looking for explosives (gunpowder). So that's a 1 in 2000 chance they won't spot it..... However, if the guards don't call for it first that alone answers one of Antonio's questions. Regardless, He'll keep it until the sensors find it.
