Gash's transition from defense to offense happened so quickly it seemed effortless. The chromed ork lashed out with titanium claws long enough to slice right through the hairless devil rats' bodies like a butcher's saw.

2 Claw Attacks: 1st= 5 hits, 2nd= 6 hits. DV= 9P

With a precision borne of familiarity - those who dwelled in the Underground's caverns and tunnels often encountered its many parasites - Gash dispatched the rats. He considered pursueing the one attempting to escape but decided against it. They had not actually come down here to exterminate vermin, regardless of how satisfying it may be, and there were more important matters to attend to.

Neuro thought for an instant about trying to draw his knife, but had a nagging feeling that he might not get it out in time to do any good. He did the first thing that came to mind: he pressed the muzzle of his Ruger Thunderbolt firmly against one of the rats struggling to chew his face off, and fired a narrow burst.

DV 7P AP -3 Ex-Explosive Rounds (Recoil modifier -1)
Agi 4 + Pistols 3 + Smartlink 2 + Point Blank 2 - Attacker in Melee 3 - Multiple Targets 2 = 3 hits

OOC: Something's up with invisible castle. I've been trying to register, but am not getting activation emails, so am unable to add notes or set campaign. I can only use base roller function, which should be ok for our purposes, it's just annoying. I'm using a telus email, perhaps it would recognize gmail or hotmail account?

(Kesslan, this is assuming we've been successful thus far.)

Last IP: Claw Attack= 3 hits

Just as Neuro's pistol took the head off one of the devil rats attacking him, Gash crossed the space between them in two quick strides and impaled the last critter like a kebob. The devil rat shrieked in pain and outrage, its back arched, legs working madly as its tiny brain sent and re-sent the impulse to flee, until Gash slung the dying beast to the ground.

He eyed the pistol still in Neuro's grasp.
"Nice piece. What'd that run you?"

The ork's nonchalant attitude toward the fact they'd just been attacked by and killed five out of six devil rats demonstrated not only that this was a common occurance in the Underground, but also that there could be, and most likely were, worse things to worry about down here.

"You got a good contact for those things?" he asked Neuro as he wiped the blood from his claws before retracting them back into his fists.

Glancing over at what was left of the dead meta, he nodded at it and said,
"Better check that. I doubt there's anything of use left by now but we could get lucky."

With all but the one rat readily vanquished our heroes found themselves more or less alone once more in the entrance way to the Underground that they had chosen. 2070 had changed much about the world, but little for the Ork Underground, well except that most people down there finally had access to the Matrix as well though they tended to be rather outdated and low end models of comlinks and a few people still relied on heavily modified, outdated Decks or other terminals.

At least the rest of the way so far promised to be a much less exciting adventure.

GM note: 10d6, you'll need to register eventually, though I'm not sure why your having issues. The registration allows one to look at past rolls etc and one of the problems I've found with just a tiny fraction of the individuals here was that they were re-rolling any rolls they failed and trying to hide the fact. A registered account on Invisible Castle usually makes such attempts rather obvious. Not that I expect you guys to cheat but sometimes it's also just easier to go back and see what's been rolled and why for other evil GM purposes.

Memory= 2
Gash took a moment to reorient himself before choosing what he thought would be the quickest route to their destination. He glanced over his shoulder at Neuro and, indicating his choice with a jerk of his head, said, "This way, and watch your back. Keep that light handy too. Its gonna get pitch black real soon."

With that he started off, kicking aside the dead devil rats like so much stray litter.
True to his words, the meager light from the subway entrance quickly faded and the two runners plunged into total darkness. Gash's thermographic vision was no good unless there were warm bodies nearby so he switched to normal sight and relied on the flitting luminescence of his companion's flashlight to aid him in navigating the trecherous passages.

Neuro busily finished subscribing his fly-spy's optics to their tacnet, along with the feed from his optic glasses, and set the little helper on a follow pattern somewhat above and behind him. He then cycled the glasses to ultrasound mode. It would be like having another pair of eyes, and would be better to put the drone to use than have it follow them uselessly as before. He'd trust in the drones internal navigation software to keep it from bumping into things, so he could concentrate on their surroundings, and leave some processing power in his link free.

"I'm afraid the handgun was a one-time deal." Neuro spoke quietly, not wanting to draw any more attention than necessary. Of course, he had just fired of a burst of explosive rounds in an enclosed area, and the irony did not escape him.
"Had the opportunity to pick through an armory a short time ago. This is one of the goodies I grabbed."

Neuro now had the flashlight in his left hand, crossed under his right wrist, and pointed ahead of them in the same direction as his pistol as they walked. He felt like one of those sec goons in the trids, but who could afford to care about appearances in a place like this. It was best to get through this alive than with perfect hair.

Where above ground the area affected by the blast was surrounded by police markers, the greater portion affected which was part of the Underground was almost entirely unsecured, though at least some one had put some old fashioned caution tape up in a few areas. Some one would come by and fix things up, eventually. That said there were still a number of potential hazards about, not the least of which was a possible collapse or some area of ground that might give away to a sink hole or some lower level of the underground. Still, anyone with quick footing and a little jumping here and there could easily get around without injury (Please provide 3 Agility tests TN 2. Gymnastics may be applied to this roll). For the most part the pair were alone as they went ever deeper, most others who had lived in the area had either died in the blast, or had found somewhere safer to move to temporarily until the area could be properly repaired and reinforced once more. Eventually you managed to reach the primary site itself, and at first there didn't seem to be a whole lot left. What ever explosive had been used had been a powerful one but some digging around could potentially provide clues. (Visual and Smell Perception tests as well as chemistry or demolitions knowledge tests are applicable here).

Avoiding Hazards (3 rolls successful)
With his enhanced agility and expert training in parkour, Gash made avoiding the blast area hazards look easy. Of course, without the aid of Neuro's flashlight, the cybered ork would most likely have ended up stranded in a pit or buried under a cave-in.

(Assuming we both make it through with no mishaps...otherwise I will edit.)

Visual Inspection (Spawn's Ruins)= 7!!!*
Sniffing the Air (Spawn's Ruins)= 5!!
(*Kesslan, I forgot to add Gash's Cybereyes Enhancement 3 to the Note for the roll. The roll itself is correct.)
(Gash is one observant chummer!)

Gash set right to work looking for something - anything - that looked to be important enough to satisfy the Exchange. Not knowing exactly what it was they were supposed to be searching for didn't help matters. And, though the ork was not one to shy away from danger, the pervasive 'malicious' feeling surrounding the site, as if the walls themselves were plotting to trap unwary trespassers - made Gash's skin itch. He wanted to get what they needed and get out of here as fast as was possible.

Avoiding hazards (Agilty 4 + Gymnastics 1) Fail, Fail, Pass

Assuming I'm alive to make a perception test...(Intuition 5 + Perception 3) 3 hits visual, 2 hits smell

Neuro watched Gash skillfully navigate the treacherous area, thinking to himself:
"I can do that"

He hopped easily over a large section of collapsed concrete and rebar, shifted his balance and changed direction to avoid a low section of ceiling. He was a cat...fluid movements and innate grace, carrying him safely past any danger. He was a gymnast, able to do things that ordinary humans could barely comprehend. He was...falling! Gracelessly windmilling his arms, Neuro hovered over a hole that his flashlight hadn't quite allowed him to see at first, but it was all too clear to him now. He overbalanced, felt one of his feet slipping out from underneath him and was about to teeter off into the inky darkness. His only chance was to make a jump for it...try to get across the gap instead of falling down onto who-knows-what. He leaped, not caring how he landed, only concerned that he was not going to fall down that hole.

"Whew!" He exhaled loudly. He was crouched down less like a cat now, than a scared human trying to hold onto the ground. He started to stand up, and get a bearing on his surroundings once again.
"Man, that was cl-"

WHUNK

There was an explosion of light as fireworks went off inside Neuro's skull. He'd stood up too quickly, without being cautious and had paid the ultimate price. Another low section of ceiling had leapt out at him while he was vulnerable, and near stoved his head in. He shook his head to clear the cobwebs, and was surprised to find that he was still holding both the flashlight and his pistol. He stowed the pistol away in it's holster for the time being. Before he had a chance to congratulate himself, his inner voice kicked in.

"Shut up!" he told himself. "You got cocky and look what happened. Let's not tempt fate!"

Gash was watching him now, expression unreadable. He might be upset that Neuro had made so much noise, or about to burst into laughter at any moment. Either reaction would have been acceptable at the time. He had screwed up, and that's all there was to it. He did hold out some hope that at least his new partner hadn't seen the whole thing. He could only imagine the look on his face as he was about to bail off the edge, and the thought brought a grin to his face. Giving his head a shake for good measure, Neuro leaned against the wall for support, trying to think of something funny to say so as to lighten the mood.

"Well..." he started, and broke off immediately. The wall he had chosen to support his weight was the wrong one. He felt a shudder in the wall, and a shudder of dread deep inside, as he dove headlong into a flying somersault. Debris crashed down where he had been standing, and the roof caved in with a loud crash and outpouring of dust. A short inspection with his flashlight and ultrasound goggles confirmed his fears. Tonnes of concrete and plasteel, scattered with rebar sections and materials he didn't even recognize had come down, and completely filled the entryway they had come in.

"Guess we don't need to be quiet anymore. " Neuro stated, with a sheepish look.
"We'll need to find another way out, there's no going back now!"

He set about looking for clues, not sure what to look for, but knowing that they had best find it and start looking for a way out soon. The police drone had probably noted the disturbance. Of course, if they were lucky, the incident would not trigger any alarms. This was an explosion site, after all. It was supposed to be unstable. Something was nagging at the edge of his senses. It was on the tip of his tongue...no, more like the tip of his nose.

"What was that smell?"

Neuro has taken 2 boxes of stun damage

Once 'safely' in the blast site the two men could easily see that the area had been reinforced, likely by some contractors hired by Knight Errant so they could safely send in their investigators. The reinforcing beams were all bright yellow and hard to miss. This particular area would at least be 'relatively' safe to move around in, so long as one took some precaution as to where they stepped or what they leaned against. A few areas were blocked off by caution tape as well as numerous AR tags warning of danger that were embedded in the tape itself. Neuro couldn't quite place the smell, though it was something relatively familiar, it was Gash that figured it out initially. Fuel. Both men could then tell easily the smell was certainly fuel. Apparently a good deal of it had gotten spread around and partially burnt by.. something. The explosion most likely though neither had the proper skill set to really tell. Still a few samples could arguably be taken to be analysed by an expert later on. Gash also happened to spot something odd buried under some rubble that had been missed by the official investigators. Digging it out was fairly easy and the prize appeared to be the battered and mostly destroyed remains of some sort of data disk player, complete with an intact data disk still in the tray (An electronics repair 3 extended test will be required to get it out intact. A glitch will damage the disk while a critical glitch will destroy it.)

On the whole the area seemed to have been a pretty solid place at one point as parts of the original area were still intact, corners of rooms, various wall sections. Most everything else had been blasted to bits or set on fire. It was Neuro that first noticed one oddity, thanks to his ultrasonic vision, Gash managed to notice it at almost the same time. A small figurine of a boar made out of resin, still in perfect condition sat on a small pile of rubble, clearly placed there sometime after the blast. Nearby Gash noticed the discarded remains of a badly burnt comlink, though perhaps something was still salvageable form that as well. (An Electronics Repair 5 Extended test will potentially reveal information still stored on the damaged Comlink).

Thankfully, though the way back had been blocked off, Gash managed to notice another way out.

GM Note: You can conduct further Perception extended tests at 1 minute durations per roll. Keep in mind the longer your here possibly the more likely some one could come along.

PostSubject: Re: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - Vested Intrest   Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - Vested Intrest - Page 2 EmptyWed Jul 11, 2012 12:32 pm

Neuro being the tech-savvy member of the duo, Gash was aware of, and content with, his role of ensuring the human got in to retrieve anything useful to the Exchange...and back out again.
They'd been lucky enough arriving just when there was no one else around, but the short hairs on Gash's neck insisted on standing at attention, reminding the ork that luck, good or bad, always ran out sooner than expected.

"Let's make this quick," he said, picking through the litter of crumbled and scorched debris.
In short order Gash spotted an electronic component of some kind; further examination, once he'd pried it from under a loose pile of debris, revealed it to be a data-disc player, and with a disc still inserted in the tray. He'd let Neuro take a crack at recovering the disc later, though, his own style of 'tinkering' usually rendered fragile equipment into useless junk.

Moving on, the ork caught a glimpse of Neuro's zeroing on an unusual object more than catching sight of the object itself. The effect was the same, however, he gazed in apprehension at a small figurine that had obviously been placed just so, right out in plain sight. The fact that previous investigators had not removed it meant its arrival here had not been long since.

Approaching the figurine's location, Gash noticed a burned commlink nearby and grabbed it. It was pretty scorched, but if Neuro was half as good as Gash assumed - by the Exchange's having hired the man - he was, maybe the human could salvage something from it.

"Ok, one more sweep then we're outta here."

Visual Perception Extended Test= 11
1st Glance= 2
2nd Glance= 4
3rd Glance= 5
(Ha, I get better results when I take a quick glance than when I observe in detail.)
Razz

There was probably more stuff to be discovered, but Gash was getting increasingly itchy to be gone. Police investigators had an irritating habit of showing up to re-investigate crime scenes and he intended to be elsewhere when they showed up here.

"Got anything else?" he asked Neuro, meaning anything other than the three items they'd already swiped.

First glance: 5 hits
Second glance: 2 hits
Third look: 3 hits

Spoiler:

"Got anything else?" Gash asked

"Sec... I think I see something, but it may just be some rubble." Neuro sensed the big ork was ready to leave, so he'd best make ready as well. As soon as he knew for sure if it was really something he'd noticed or just a waste of time.

Gash manages to dig up a still functional credstick and a charred but serviceable pair of wirecutters, while Neuro comes across a battered but serviceable pair of goggles and a battered yet functional keycard copier. The rest of the place just turns up a few possibly still edible survival rations, burnt out household drones and a few other random but ultimately fairly useless odds and ends. Of the lot the pair of runners knows the comlink and disk player are the most likely to turn up something interesting or useful in the way of clues. The rest, well.. the rest could be put to use or sold off for a little pay in return for their troubles. Outside of that the place looked like a tomb.

Knowing time was of the essence, Neuro quickly moved across the room towards what he thought he had seen. It was a strap of some sort, sticking out from the corner of what may have been a desk. Giving it a tug, he found it was firmly stuck. He put the flashlight down for a second and grabbed the broken wood panel with both hands, lifting up sharply. It had been a desk, and a nice one at that. As the wooden remains flipped over, part of a drawer came loose, dislodging a keycard copier.
"This might come in handy...if it still works."

Finally, his eyes came to rest on the object he had come over to investigate in the first place. It was a beat up pair of goggles with a broken strap. One never knew what kind of optics were in such things, so he stowed them away in his pack along with the card copier. Neither item was likely to help with their investigation, but may come in handy later. Neuro scooped up his flashlight, put his pack back on and settled the straps.

"Found a couple things, might be useful." He stated in response to Gashes query.

He was starting to feel edgy for some reason. Maybe his partners alertness was rubbing off on him. He removed the hand-cannon from his holster, made sure he had a round chambered, and turned his head towards Gash.

"I think we found all we're going to...whaddaya say we get the frack outta here, little buddy?"

Gash stowed the credstik and wire cutters in a pocket - might come in handy like the man said - and looked around for the way out. They wouldn't be able to go back the way they came; meaning it would be some time before they could get back to their vehicles, but he quickly spotted another passage - maybe opened up by the blast or just another aspect of the dead owner's lair.

"Better try this," he said to Neuro, indicating the direction by heading that way. He already felt the nervous tension start to ease just by the act of getting out of the fragile tomb.

As he started to move, he drew his shotgun again. Now more than ever, entering an unfamiliar section, the need for protection was even more dire.

The route to the surface through the new tunnel had been far less fraught with danger than the way in, though it was soon clear that the route would take the pair right up to the exit watched over by the police drone. Destroying it would alert the police and would no doubt garner a rather quick reaction, not to mention risk having recordings of the actions found. Hacking it how ever would, at least potentially, be considerably more subtle though definitely far more time consuming. Still, it was merely an observation drone and even the police versions were only slightly better defended against hacking attempts than the civilian models. Still, it would be a challenge, but one that Neuro thought he would be up to.

He considered dropping into full VR, but this shouldn't be too difficult.
"Famous last words..." he said quietly, as Neuro prepared for his assault on the drone. He'd have to shut down the tacsoft, and his media search from earlier. If he had to think fast, he'd need to leave some processor free. He would try to be ready in case the drek hit the fan. After all, it was better smart than scragged. If he could find the signal that the drone was using, he might be able to track it back and get the police rigger's access ID. He could send the drone to check out a 'disturbance', and give them a clean exit. No alarms, no excitement. Things didn't often go that easy, but there was a first time for everything. Heck, he might even try to intercept the security footage from the drone. It was a long shot, but they might get a look at whoever left the creepy figurine behind.

Almost as an afterthought, Neuro pulled his pack off, and rummaged around for a few seconds before he brought out his area effect smart jammer. If worst came to worst, there would be no video evidence of them. They'd have to destroy the drone if it came down to that, to get rid of the onboard recording. Neither of them was squeamish, so that shouldn't be a problem. Neuro decided to stay out of sight for this, trusting in his abilities. If he messed up, and the drone came to try and get a look at him, he could activate the jammer and they could make a break for it. The cops would be looking for them, but they had a good chance to get away. That was all worst-case scenario kind of thinking there. He'd best get down to it. He activated his stealth program, and started to scan for the drones hidden node. He barely noticed as Gash took the flashlight from his hand. Good thinking, there.

Ewar 4 + Scan 6 broken into 5-roll sections = 5 rounds

After what seemed like an eternity, but turned out to be much closer to 15 seconds, the worn-out decker had found the signal node. Of course, it was encrypted, so he set to work, code scrolling past his AR window.

Ewar 4 + Decrypt 6 (8,1 Combat Turn) broken into 3-roll sections = 3 turns

"Alright, almost there!" Neuro subvocalized, as he fired up his sniffer program. This was the easiest part. Even if he messed it up, there was no way to detect what he was trying to do, and that was just how he liked it.

Ewar 4 + Sniffer 6 (3) 4 hits. heh. just made it.

Another AR window popped up, and he was looking at the real-time feed of the drones camera(s). He was in. All he had to do now was chase the signal back to it's source, and he would be set. Flashing a quick thumbs-up to his new partner, Neuro went scrolling through his program list yet again, this time digging out a tracking program.

Computer 4 + Track 6 (10, Complex Action) extended test broken into 5-roll sections = 4 complex actions.
GM: I think I mentioned in PM's that rigger stealth program gives me a negative dice modifier here. Will reroll if necessary, as I rolled before I though of it.

"While I'm in here..." Neuro thought to himself, as he shut down his scan, and brought up his analyze program.

Matrix perception test
Computer 4 + Analyze 6 3 hits
GM: Police rigger stealth program makes this an opposed test.

"Bingo!" He said to himself, as he saved the access code. This could come in handy later. He pondered for a moment. What should he tell the drone to do? Making it move was likely to set off an alarm, and alert the rigger. An idea came to him, and he chuckled quietly. He may as well have set off the jammer from the start, although there was the chance that the drone was recording onboard as well. They would have to move quickly.
"Get ready to move!" Neuro subvocalized, waiting for his companion to acknowledge his statement before he got into ready position himself. When they were both set, he issued his command.

"Deactivate sensors"
GM: I'm thinking I should only need securtiy access for this command, but am going to make 2 rolls. First with security account modifier, second with admin modifier. Make your opposed roll against the one you deem suitable for the command level.

Hacking 6 + Spoof 6 - 3 Security Access 3 hits
Hacking 6 + Spoof 6 - 6 Security Access ouch! 0 hits at least it wasn't a glitch. geek

Staying back out of sight, Gash waited tensely as Neuro prepared to tackle the security drone. At least, Gash hoped that was what the human was doing. There wasn't much the ork could do about the drone other than a direct attack with his shotgun, which would be about as effective as broadcasting an open-channel message saying "Here we are!"

Watching Neuro dig through his pack, Gash reached over and gently but firmly took the flashlight from Neuro's grasp. He switched it off, making sure to keep the beam aimed at the ground while doing so. The metas up there probably wouldn't have noticed the beam unless it was pointed directly at them, but who knew hwat drones were capable of detecting with their sophisticated sensors and software?

That little thing done, Gash subsided to waiting once more. He wasn't worried about Neuro's ability to neutralize the drone; the Exchange would not have sent an inept novice on such a job (he fervently hoped) but he kept the shotgun at the ready just the same. He didn't relish the thought of blasting their way out of there, but neither would he go like a lamb to the slaughter.

In less than a minute Neuro was in and had managed to successfully ordered the drone to shut down it's sensors. Of course it was inevitable that the rigger watching the drone's feeds would notice but hopefully that wouldn't be the case before he reacted. Either way, with the drone's sensors now off the duo had a chance to make a clean get away without being identified, but that window was very narrow.

GM: Please make 2 sprinting tests followed by an Agility (Gymnastics) test to run for and then get behind cover before the drone's sensors are reactivated.

As soon as Neuro's command went through, and the live VR feed from the drone went down, he bolted like a rabbit. He thought of saying 'GO!' as he was taking off, but his companion's reflexes were wired, much faster than his own. Gash was moving before he could finish the thought, so he didn't dwell on it. Head down, eyes up. He ran for all that he was worth towards and out the exit.
Running 1 + Strength 4 31m 1st turn, 29m 2nd turn

He reached the edge of the cordoned off area, ran past it and across the street. Neuro dove for cover, holding the jammer close to his body and curling around it as he hit the ground in a roll.
Agility 4 + Gymnastics 1 = 2 hits

Sprinting= 29m, 32m
Watching the drone for any sign of alarm, Gash was caught flatfooted when Neuro broke for the exit. He was right behind the human, however, and stride for stride when they burst out of the tunnel. Leaning into a full sprint, Gash gained a few steps on his partner as they crossed the street and into the area beyond.

Parkour= 9 (!!!)
Using his parkour skill, Gash was able to dodge, under speed, past an obstacle or two before choosing a spot sizable enough to duck behind. He heard Neuro hit the ground behind him and was impressed at the man's forethought to remain quiet. Gash didn't know if the human had accidentally slipped or intentionally dived for cover, but he'd have to find out once he knew for certain they'd not been seen.

The pair had just enough time to get behind cover and out of sight when the police drone suddenly lit up and sounded off a typical police siren followed by "Warning: Intruders Detected. This is a restricted zone and is off limit. Failure to comply will be met with force." the police siren sounded again and the message started to loop while the drone suddenly started on the move. Matrix side Neuro could tell in his AR that the rigger had caught on and had jumped into the drone for direct control, but clearly the pair hadn't been spotted. Police units would likely be on the way but not for at least a minute or two, more than long enough for Neuro and Gash to make a clean getaway. The only question remained now, was where would they go? They couldn't rightfully try to analyse some of the clues they had found here without getting caught and Neuro could tell that he'd need a good set of tools, time and at least a few moments of peace to dig through the damaged electronics they'd found.

Back against the wall, peering out with one eye at the patrolling drone to make sure it was not heading in their direction, Gash spoke to Neuro through his encrypted micro-transceiver:
"Not bad, omae. Can't say I wanna try that again real soon, but not bad at all."

The ork moved a bit further along the wall, keeping it between himself and the drone as much as possible before adding:
"Let's get outta here. We need to find a place to lay low and see what we've found. Know any safehouses by chance?"

Perhaps it was the devastation they'd just witnessed of another runner's home who'd been entangled in whatever was going down with Exchange members, but Gash felt reluctant to use his own place. He didn't think anyone could know of his involvement in the case - yet, but he wanted someplace neutral. Sooner or later, however, he'd want to recover one of his bikes. Scuttling through the alleyways and side-streets of Seattle would be slower and far more hazardous than driving, but for the moment it would have to do.
Holstering his Desperado and crouching slightly to make himself less obvious, he started away from the 'kicked anthill.'

Slinking away from crime scene= 5

"Hmm..." Neuro pondered for a moment. He tried to move stealthily but had no real talents in that area, so he basically crouch-walked behind Gash while they exited the area. He'd come up blank when it came to safehouse locations nearby, but on a hunch he did a lookup on his assumed SIN. Apparently he had an address, and it was here in Seattle. Wondering whether he owed this to 'The Exchange' or if the place had been arranged for a Cranodyne operative, he shut down the hacking programs that had been running. Next, he rebooted the tacsoft, bringing up a map of the city.

"I've got a place we can use. Can't say how safe it will be, but we can lay low there for a bit and figure out what our next step is." He brought up a mark on the map, where the place was located.
"Should we go back for the vehicles?" He asked. "I can drive my truck remotely if I have to, but we should get your bike out of there at least. Don't wanna give them any ideas who to look for." Neuro also didn't want to leave behind any of his gear. Not that he was overly attached to anything in the truck, but most of it was expensive and could prove hard to replace.

Fly-Spy drone flitting along above and behind them, adding it's sensors to the tacnet, they set out to put a little distance between themselves and the crime scene.
