Letha [2230?] Package Drop

Hearing a good plan, Letha carried the tube to Andromeda's vehicle and, with a bit of effort, managed to slide the package into the back seat.
Slamming the door shut and dusting off her hands, she shot a distinctly sarcastic grin at Bark and said:

"Come on, Barky. Let's play 'Grid Courier' and jet over to the nest, meh?"

She leaned slightly in his direction, pointing the first fingers of both hands at Bark.

"Hey, I'll even let you drive, big guy. What d'you say?"

Bark, getting into the car

A sarcastic smile was the best he could muster up, but it seemed he's trying.

I'll drive, you shoot. It's only fair this way.

"You both shoot and I drive." Andromeda said in a determined voice " my escort will arrive any minute now, then I will be able to go full VR and drive you as best as I can."

Letha [Preparing for departure]

"Sounds like this is going to be a wiz ride!" Letha exclaims in response to Andromeda's statement.
Turning her gaze to Z, Letha adds:

"Well, Talker, care to make it a threesome?" She nods in Bark's direction, winks and says in a none-too-quiet whisper:

"I think Barky here would feel safer with a chaperone along anyway."

Z [Drop Point]

In response to Letha
"No thanks, I already called a cab and want to take some time to get to know her" Indicating Isabella "before i show her tbe safehouse. Johnson didn't say anything about another person."

Letha [Drop Point]

Letha flashes a distinctively mischievous grin at Bark after Z's polite, and logical in light of their new member, decline to join them.

"Well well, Barky," Letha quips in an overly melodramatic tone of ominous seduction. "Looks like its just you and me...and you won't even have driving to distract you from moi." She gives a mock girlish giggle and makes another one of her signature bosom wiggles.

"Hmm, what WILL you find to occupy those talented hands of your's?"

Bark, in the car.

Believe me darling, you wouldn't like the touch of these hands. - Bark lifts his arms - They are cold and not meant for comforting and cuddling, more for smiting and snapping. But I hope there's no hard feelings, and we can be friends!? - he says quoting every chick in the universe. Then, with a tired half-smile, inside the car, so no one can hear them: Look, you can drop the "I'm so sexy and vibrant and alive" act. At least when you're with me. We are shadowrunners, and that doesn't mean the shadows are around us. We are the shadows, we have them inside us, and I lived long enough to know people in this profession. Either you are what you seem to be and have no place between the shadows, or this is just an act to conceal them deep inside you. Whichever it is, it's not my business, and I truly don't care, as long as I can trust you to cover my back. Prove to me this, and we can exchange flirtatious jokes like we've been childhood friends from Ohio. Hell, I maybe even tell you something about the world, the truth I've learned the hard way. But until then, I'd appreciate if you've kept your hands on your weapon and your eyes on the road. Is that OK with you?

Letha [Andromeda's car]

Hearing Bark's seemingly heartfelt words, Letha was moved and not a little chagrinned at her teasing of her teammate.

"Bark," she said in a straightforward tone with no sarcasm at all. "There is...something...that drives me to wring as much from life as I can, but I mean no harm with my teasing. It must be difficult for you..."
She leaves the rest of that statement unsaid as Bark must be all too aware of the effect his appearance has on most people, and Letha can only guess at the loneliness he must endure because of it.

"There are few men...VERY few men," she says with unfeigned melancholy, "who ever see past this body to the woman inside. So, I decided long ago to use that 'near-sightedness' to my advantage. Its worked in lots of ways, but its also created barriers as well..."

Letha abruptly stops in sudden realization of what she's doing...opening up to this man she hardly knows. With a shrug of her shoulders at her unusual behavior, she tries to disguise her irritation at herself by adjusting her position in her seat. Brushing off unseen bits of dirt or whatever from her short jacket and legs, she takes a moment to regain her 'devil-may-care' attitude once more.

"So, Bark, shall we call a truce?" she asks her carpool partner. "Since we will be working together and depending on one another, its only good for the success of the job, right?"

Don't worry, girl! We all have our baggage, it's part of the job. And the way you are dealing with it is much better then brooding alone, believe me! I could write a book on that. - understanding a little what she could be going through, the hardness of opening up (even for an instant) and her need for coping, he decides to try something - I wish I could be more like you...and his gaze obviously wonders down, down, he even swallows a little...I just don't have your...abilities. - he says staring like his eyes could pierce clothing, staring like a maniac, maybe even drooling a little while playing "chicken", adult style, seeing how committed she is to this act, obviously trying not to erupt in laughter from the strangeness of the situation, hoping he's not overdoing it.

Bark, Letha [Pickup Location]

Package secured, Bark and Letha mount the vehicle and hit the road. The streets are relatively bare with only taxis and tractor-trailers on the road. Bark drives back to the safehouse, taking a different route than the one they used to get to the pickup location. He makes a couple of random turns to be certain they are not being followed. From the entrance to the safehouse neighborhood, Bark can see the house, seemingly as they left it.

Are you ready for this girl? Wait here a minute, I'll go sniff around. I'll be nearby, if there's trouble just shout or shoot!

With this said, Bark leaves the car, his cape and he enters the shadows, praying - as always - for the guidance of the Flayed One and for quick death to his enemies. He circles around the house, sensors and senses on edge, making sure the route to the panic room is clear.

Letha [Safehouse]

With a wry smirk and a shake of her head - it seemed poor Bark would never learn - Letha drew her Warhawk and cautiously circled the outside perimeter of the safehouse. She didn't know what she was specifically looking for other than suspicious items, persons, or signs of 'unauthorized' tampering with the building, but the telltale vandalism by whoever this 'wolf pack' was made her edgy about the seemingly compromised location for their package.
While she took her time checking the exterior, she kept an ear out for any sound of commotion from inside as well, though she felt confident that Bark would be able to handle himself if needed. She figured the ork would eventually learn that she too could take care of herself. Did the guy think a girl who looked like her didn't have to deal with jerks who thought they could just take what they wanted?
Sighing, she put the vagrant thoughts out of her head and focused on the task at hand. This 'safe' house had to be, at least until the others arrived and they could rest assured that the first part of the mission was secured.

Perception= 2

Just AS the Shin Pulls away Andromeda notices Habu coming the opposite way, she is kinda grateful to this big fella to be as good at self driving as a average mom.

It took Just a minute For Andromeda to get into the Rigger cocoon and jump into the shin, taking over while Bark was still at the helm of the Car was just as appropriate as them taking of without waiting for the permission from Andromeda. but in the end it was no disaster as the drive back was event less, so was the one of Habu as well, the Pilot program did it's job excellently and Habu arrived a the last crossing before the safe house just a few minutes after the Shin.

Andromeda was even able to call up her Friend Kouryuu, better said Father, even thou they had no blood relationship whatsoever >Hey i have a rather large list of drones i need to get, but i think Aron will be overwhelmed so i call upon your friends,Old man. I need these drones yesterday, 2 FlyEye's and 2 Dragonfly's if possible with Chameleon coating.< but just to be sure she sends this request to Aron as well with the not that the fastest and the cheapest offer wins, competition is always good.

Even thou the were at the safe, Andromeda did not let the Shin sensors out of her eye, as they both left the car standing there, ... Professionals ehh ...

Letha, knowing that Andromeda would be 'jumped' into her car and thus keeping watch on the package, was not worried about the package being left in the car. Unlike Bark, who seemed to think he had some right to 'bark' orders, Letha understood that you had to trust and depend on your teammates. Andromeda had stated several times during the meet with the J that she would handle piloting her vehicle and that Letha and Bark would just be passengers.

So, confident that the package was being cared for, Letha continued her sweep of the premises.

@ Bark

Save the sleeping occupants of the house next door, and thier rather large dog, Bark moves nearly halfway round the house and sees nothing to indicate that the house or the immediate area has changed since they left. As he rounds the far corner, however, he sees Letha moving, in an opposing arc, toward him from the opposite side of the house.



@ Letha

Letha moves around the safehouse, weapon drawn, and makes a careful inspection of the exterior as she goes. From all appearances, the house is as the team left it.



@Andromeda

Within 60 seconds of Letha exiting the vehicle, Andromed is alerted to someone approaching the Shin...

First thing Andromeda does is Locking all the doors and activating the Anti-theft-system, then she turned her full attention to the Sensory data, how far was the one approaching the car, the UWB should have picked him up at 100m, but he might have been there when they arrived. then the idea was to contact the two hot heads leaving the package unguarded.

As soon as Letha sees Bark coming around the other end of the house, she reholsters her pistol and turns back towards the front of the safehouse. The perimeter seems secure so they can now focus on getting the package inside.

Z [Drop point]

As Z gets into the taxi with Sistah Voodoo she switches her perception to the Astral once again. She tells the cabbie to drive around randomly, "Have fun, go sight seeing, I don't care where till i say otherwise," and she credits his account with a generous tip.

After driving for a couple of minutes Z turns to Isabella. "Ok, so you say that you are here for some magic support. Why should I believe that? The J seemed pretty worried that someone might be after that package, so how am I to know that you're not after it? We pull up and you're sitting on the bench over there and Mr. J never said anything about you."

"If you're legit, great I think we could be friends and some mojo would be a great help. If you're not......." she let's the statement hang there.

Z [Taxi right after Sistah Voodoo casts a spell]

As soon as Z sees Sistah Voodoo start to channel mana she extends her arm and immediately has her gun in her hand pointed right at her companion.

"well that definitely proved you're a slinger, no doubt about that. But I don't know what you just cast so you better drop it right now."

Z and Isabelle [taxi]

@Z
The world disolves into drab grays and browns, the taxi's structure is a bit more colorful suggesting, perhaps, it should be cleaned... Shifting her gaze away from the unpleasant thought of exactly what life form shared the taxi with her, Z focuse on Isabelle. Perhaps it is no suprise to see the woman staring back at her, the same look of concentration on her face. Her bright aura is a stark contrast to the surroundings. Clearly she is a healthy female elf projecting tension and anxiety; not unreasonable under the circumstances. Z is reasonably certain she has never encountered Isabelle's aura before. It is also clear she is awakened. Like most magic users, she has no cyberware. Guaging her carefully, Isablelle's aura suggests that she and Z are roughly equals in raw power. Shining along side her aura, four distinct and separate auras comingle with Isabelle's.

@Isabelle
Isabelle shifts her vision, finding that she and Z had similar thoughts. A glance around the taxi reveals that there is far more life sharing this ride than is comfortable. Focusing on Z as much to take her mind off that fact as to gain information, Isabelle weighs her new acquaintance. The woman is in good health and bears no indication of cyberware, always a good sign in an awakened being. Isabelle can sense the same tension flowing from the woman as she herself feels. The womans aura does not look familiar but she can see that the two of them are an even match with regard to their magical talent.

Andromeda [Habu]

The man appeared seemingly out of nowhere. One moment, nothing, the next, standing not 2 meters away. He approaches but when Andromeda triggers the locks, the man looks around quickly and returns to where he was first detected and, quite literally, disappears behind a large bush...

Sistah Voodoo grundgingly drops her increased reflexes not wanting to start any trouble at the start of a mission...but makes a mental note to keep her healing abilities a secret if Z ever gets shot...

Z [Taxi Cab]

Z returned the weapon to its hiding spot and sits back to relax and to enjoy the ride. She is pretty sure at this point that she cannot trust the woman sitting next to her.

Letha [Safehouse]

When Letha received Andromeda's message she broke into a run. Despite the fact that the encounter seemed to have resolved itself, the potential for the 'wolf pack' to return and cause trouble still weighed on her mind.

"Where'd he go?" Letha asked Andromeda as she neared the car. She re-drew her revolver and peered around carefully.
