Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad. |

| In your opinions, wouldn't those improve a person's situational modifers if they were trying to dispose of a bomb on a moving platform or under other shaky conditions? Or in such cases where steady hand movement is necessary, like brian surgery? | |

| I would say no, given that the main purpose of a gyro mount is to reduce recoil penalties from firearms. Granted they do affect movement penalties a little too if I recall but your also holding onto a firearm that isnt attached to anything else but your own body. Bombs, brain surgery and other delicate work on the other hand is considerably more complicated. If your off by say half a centimetre (mild exaggeration) with a gun you wont miss unless your doing long to extreme range firing, brain surgery and other such things however are not as forgiving. Many bombs also do not react well to being mishandled even when disarmed. Doubly so if they have things like anti disarming booby traps built in, or their build from unstable materials (Nitroglycerin for example does not react well to being tossed about) | |

| That was the point. Gyromounts stabalize movement, so that a rocking motion is mitigated. Moving causes -2 to "recoil" but gyromounts reduce that. If your hands are shaking for example, they would be steadier. I don't see why they couldn't count for removing situational penalties.

| I think they would not help: From a mechnical point of view it's sth. totally different to dampen a recoil impact or to steady randomly trembling hands. | |

| Gyromounts only stabilize certain movement, and then only for you. In the scenarios your describing the objects themselves would likely be getting moved/shaken about an thus negate any minor benefit that might be gained. And again, Gyrmounts are not good for very fine control, their main purpose is to reduce recoil which is hardly something that requires exact precision. Most bombs and especially surgery would. | |

| In modern day the large surgical microscope are gyro-stabilized to lock the image view into place, where any movements by air etc would be bad. Also in RL robotic surgery gives surgeons the precision that most do not have in their arms and hands. In Augmentation most "good" surgeons rig into the hospital and its equipment, treat their patient via that method. Think of it from a surgeon's Point of View,,,no having to go to the hospital, can multitask at several hospitals,.. | |
