Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

New Player Qualities Empty
PostSubject: New Player Qualities   New Player Qualities EmptySun Nov 20, 2011 10:35 am

There are tons of positive & negative qualities for characters listed in several SR4 books.

How about a list of PLAYER positive & negative qualities?

Post the quality you'd like to see/use in your game; or post the ones you think your fellow SRO chummers have (this is for fun, so no taking offense or flaming)

And let's stick to the typical quality venue: Quality Name, BP cost/Bonus, Description. We don't need an incoherent bunch of jabs and sarcasm (unless, of course, you can work that into the qualities description.)

Addiction: Posting
Bonus: Variable (see text)
The player with this quality feels compelled to post on PBP game sites. This quality's rating depends on the level of addiction.
Mild -5 BP: The player is content with posting at least once a week. While the player shows no discernible signs of addiction at this level, they may be holding up the game (and most of the other players are talking about them behind their back.)
Moderate -10 BP: The player with this level of the quality is a frequent poster. The addiction is more apparent, causing some real-life issues (though the player is well liked by his teammates.) This player's spouse and children would like some time on the family PC also.
Severe -15 BP: This player has no real-life. They possess every book on Shadowrun ever printed, know every rule forwards and backwards, and generally make all the other players miserable from their constant rule recital and gamemastering without a license. The player with this level of the quality gets weird looks from real-life chummers who don't grep what the frag this guy keeps going on about elves, dwarfs, orks, and trolls.
Burnout -20 BP: The player with this level of the quality is never coming back from the Matrix...ever. This player hasn't bathed in weeks, eats nothing but soymeal, has had the police called on them several times already for sneaking around his neighborhood like a stalker, and is hated on the game boards for 'haunting' the site and posting constantly on every thread whether in that game or not. Yes, Neo, the Matrix has you...
